Lesley Newman-Adams currently serves as Pastor of Corkran Memorial United Methodist Church in Temple Hills, Maryland. In this appointment, Lesley has seen the hand of God and the providence of God’s grace, mercy and abundant provision. Lesley Newman is a native Washingtonian. She is preacher’s kid; both her mother and father are pastors. She attended Prince George’s County Public Schools and graduated Valedictorian from Potomac High. Lesley went on to graduate from McDaniel College with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Minor Concentration in Sociology. Lesley obtained her MDiv degree from Wesley Theological Seminary where she also was an Urban Ministry Fellow. Lesley also works full-time as a Training Specialist for the Department of Human Services in the District of Columbia.
Lesley is passionate about the lives, minds and souls of all people but, she has a sweet spot at the core of her being for women and girls. She has a burden to assist others in finding their true purpose and living audacious, vibrant lives. Lesley is able to do this serving as pastor of Corkran Memorial United Methodist Church in Temple Hills, Maryland and as the founder and facilitator of W.A.R. (Women Anointed for Righteousness). In both communities, Lesley leads with the objective of ushering and supporting others through their journey of transformation.
Lesley Newman-Adams is a lover of good music, a good movie and a good cupcake. She is also wife to God’s blessing, Matthew Adams and mother to two wonderful, beautiful girls- Nadia and Kairo.
